HOLBOX , YES !

We’re still in Holbox today, not a very well-known spot but super lovely. It’s an island with very few buildings, where you won’t even find a car (people use golf carts which are up for rent to move around *_*) and where very few hotels are available. Our hotel was lovely by the way, we slept in a hut by the beach. There are also lots of restaurants and mini shops with Mexican crafts. The best thing to do there is to enjoy the beach, cycle around the island and get to know the nearby islands on boat. We did a little excursion to «Las Tres Islas» and we loved it. There’s a cenot in one of them and on Bird Island we saw lots of different species (such gorgeous flamingos!) in their natural habitat – also the beach is just gorgeous. In the center of Holbox (well, you know what I mean) there are lots of little houses like the one that you can see in today’s photos, with lots of different colours which bring the island to life. I rocked this Free People dress with a pair of Marant sandals and my basket bag, which I wore throughout the whole trip. Lots of love!!

Seguimos en Holbox, un sitio no muy conocido y poco turístico lleno de encanto. Es una isla sin construcciones, donde no hay ni coches (se usan carritos de golf que se pueden alquilar *_*), y en la que solo se encuentran algunos hotelitos como el nuestro, que por cierto era chulísimo, con cabañas encima de la arena. También hay restaurantes ideales y algunas mini tiendas con artesanía Mexicana. El mejor plan alli es disfrutar de la playa, recorrer la isla en bici o descubrir las islas cercanas en barca. Nosotros hicimos una excursión a «Las Tres Islas» y nos encantó. En una de ellas hay un cenote donde nos estuvimos bañando, en otra, la «Isla de los Pájaros, pudimos ver muchísimas especies (como flamencos preciosos) en su hábitat natural, y otra que vale la pena visitar por su playa alucinante. En el centro de Holbox (por llamarlo de alguna manera…jjj), hay muchas casitas como ésta en la que estoy hoy, con pinturas llenas de color que hacen que la isla tenga ese encanto especial. Llevaba este vestido de Free People con sandalias de Marant y mi cesto del que no me despegué en todo el viaje. Mil besos!!

    Y de mosquitos como anda la cosa por ahi??? yo es que tengo alergia a su picadura y en verano me ponen frita y viajar a lugares me da cierto reparo por los insectos….

  22. Simplemente exquisita! Ese vestido es muy, muy bonito…Las sandalias de Marant maravillosas (yo me cogí una versión muy, muy low cost…a ver cuando las estreno) y tus accesorios siempre perfectos!
    Y de verdad, visualizaros en esas cabañitas donde os quedasteis, ver estos lugares tan especiales…es para «bloquearos» en las redes sociales forever, pero aprenderé a gestionar mi inteligencia emocional…ja,ja..! y no fatigarme con la envidia!
